This week I’m lucky enough to be able to document a visit by a group of students and journalists for PH International.
Twenty people from all over Russia are spending four weeks learning media literacy. Stops include Washington, D.C., Boston and New York City, with the Vermont segment focused on learning the practical skills of electronic news gathering.
Hosted by Champlain College, the program is teaching them how to shoot and edit video, along with trips to local media outlets.
It’s really fun to watch them get started. I’ll probably pick up some tips and insight myself!
