Here’s a video I made back when I was working at the Times Argus.
Manghis’ Bakery is kind of an institution in central Vermont. Not only do they make simple, healthy bread of excellent quality, but it’s a business that’s been handed down to a second generation.
Kids grew up stopping by their School Street shop and picking up a roll or loaf of bread. You could watch them baking all around you.
Watching videos from a few years back is a really interesting experience. Some of these shots and edits are engrained in my memory. I’ve completely forgotten whole interviews in other cases.
I’ve come a long way in terms of color correction, composition and the quality of the equipment I use, but I think this video really captures the energy and experience of being in the bakery. That was some good work!
