A quick little experiment this week. I love tracking shots, and use a glide track whenever appropriate. Shooting video in snow is tough. There’s not much ground between overexposed and a big patch of blah. Here I go over a simple solution to bring out the texture of the white stuff, while keeping everything else looking great!

Maybe we just don’t work with our hands enough anymore, but there’s something so satisfying and engaging about watching someone assemble, take apart, sand, chop, glue, paint, saute, weld or attach with nuts and bolts. This is my new television commercial, which starts running next week on WVNY and WFFF, 22 & 44. I ran a very similar ad a few years ago for a month, and never got much of a response. I made this video for a company advertising a job I’m interested in. They requested applicants make a video for them, and to be creative. I wasn’t sure I was going to bother, then this popped into my head. A nice way to spend a frigid morning. Enjoy!
